About Us.....
Ivelolharele Retirement Sanctuary, Inc. is owned and operated by Bruce and Jody Tveit, along with the cooperation and help of Jody's three children Paige, Josh and Brooke, and three volunteers, Kammy, Sabrina and Norma.
Bruce and Jody together have over 60 years of equine experience. Bruce originating from North Dakota, was born and raised on a 2400 acre ranch with an upwards of 60 head at anytime. Bruce and Jody bring natural horsemanship, equine health experience, along with training experience.
Bruce and Jody formed Ivelolharele Retirement Sanctuary, Inc. in loving memory of Jody's young neice and Bruce's parents. All of which had an overwhelming love of horses. Kristin loved horses, and was hoping someday to have a pony of her own. Jody's neice, Kristin, passed away at the tender age of 9 years old, due to complications from heart surgery. Bruce's parents bred and raised Foundation Quarter Horses, and was members of the AQHA for over 50 years. Iver and Lola's love for horses was passed on to their son, Bruce.
With their love of family and love of horses, Bruce and Jody worked together to establish a safe haven for horses that have health conditions, in memory of Kristin, Lola and Iver. Bruce and Jody have opened their hearts and doors to many horses that now have a forever home and are protected in their care.
